How can I connect my Vizio TV monitor to my MacBook?
I want to be able to watch TV shows on my TV that are streaming from my computer.

A VGA, HDMI, S-Video? What cords will actually plug into a macbook?
I assume you don’t have the brand new MacBook (just came out). So that means you have a Mini DVI port on it. So you will need an adapter of some kind.
You should consider a Mini DVI to DVI adapter and then DVI to HDMI cable. That would work for you. So these,

You could also try a Mini DVI to HDMI adapter and then HDMI cable. Though someone earlier today was having problems with that. They weren’t able to make it work (could have been problem with the cables, am unsure). So like this,

You could look up VGA solutions. Like mini DVI to DVI. DVI to VGA. Then get a VGA to HDMI solution from here, http://sewelldirect.com/articles/vga-to-hdmi.aspx
The above options are video only though. The MacBook mini DVI port does not support audio. So for the audio use the headphone jack on the MacBook. Get a Stereo Mini to RCA cable. Plug the stereo mini into the headphone jack. Then look for an HDMI port which also has RCA audio inputs and use that for the video and stick the RCA leads into that. Avoid s-video. Its standard definition only. It won’t look good on your HDTV.
