vizio brand reviews

32″ TV – which is better, a 720p Sony Bravia or 1080p off-brand?

I’m getting a TV for the living room and moving my small one to the bedroom. The name brand 1080p sets are out of my budget and I’ve been leaning toward the 720p 32″ Sony Bravia, but I also noticed that some off-brands like Vizio have 1080p sets that are around the same price. However, I spied some not-so-great reviews for them while the Sony Bravia had excellent reviews. Does 1080p make as much of a difference on a 32″ set as other factors? What should I choose?

Vizeo cameras are what brings to the world NFL Football, hardly an off brand. It would be better to stay with the 720p. Unless you are a studio geek or game geek, the difference is not really noticeable with a 32″ tv. If it were a 50″ tv you could tell the difference, but that difference would be nothing to be ashamed of. If the TV for the living room is going to be in high use, don’t scrimp on a cheap tv. Ask about the advantages of calibrating your new tv and it will last twice as long.
Their is a place for a lesser tv, that would be in the spare bed room. An Insignia TV would be great in a spare room. In a related matter, make sure the sound is very good. Some tv’s have a great picture and a crummy sound. Back to the Insignia, we have a 27″ tv sitting on top of a Bose Wave Radio, the sound and picture are superb. If you think out of the box, every once in a while it works and works well.

Best.
